“Faith and love are like a blind man’s guides. They will lead you along a path unknown to you, to a place where God is hidden.” –St. John of the Cross

Counting on it… Walking by faith and not by sight is a lot harder than it sounds, especially when your sight tells you there is no path. If you’re in a similar place, hang in there. We’re in this together and God is waiting for us.

  1. Thank you, Karen. I am trying to let go and let God. I am not a religious person, but I have always talked with and received enormous comfort from God. So much of my unhappiness is my attempt to control things that are out of my control, hence the letting God. Things that I might want may not be good for me, and so, even though I don’t get them, it is not because I am lacking, but because there is something better for me that I don’t know about yet. That’s what I keep repeating to myself…until I am convinced.

  2. Thank you for the quote. I’m a big fan of St. John of the Cross. We all might think of heaven, but the journey there requires faith and love. We might wander around looking for God, but it’s better to be still and allow God to enter into our lives.
